Congratulations on moving forward to the in-office exam phase! This is the next important step in the interview process, and it will help both you and us understand if Practical Vision is the right fit for you. Below are some key details to help you prepare:
Exam Environment
The practical exam will take place in our open-space office area, where the team will continue with their regular work routine. This setup allows you to get a genuine sense of what a typical day at the office looks like if you join us. The exam itself simulates the kind of real-world tasks we handle on a daily basis, giving you insight into what working at Practical Vision involves.
Timing and Flexibility
The exam is not restricted by a specific time limit. Our office hours are until 18:30, and you are more than welcome to stay as long as you need to complete the tasks. If you think you’ll be around during our lunch break, feel free to bring your own lunch or buy something at the nearby restaurants and join us for lunch. It’s a good opportunity to interact with the team informally and get a better feel for the culture here.
Exam Content
The exam will involve demonstrating your knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager (GTM). It will include hands-on tasks using these tools. While we understand that you are new to these systems, we are interested in seeing your familiarity and comfort level. The more you are able to demonstrate your understanding, the better your chances of being selected for the position.
Resources to Prepare
To help you succeed, here are some resources that you may find useful:
- Google’s Official GA4 Demo Account: You can access it here: GA4 Demo Account (select the first demo option: “Google Merchandise Store”). Spend some time exploring this demo account to understand what you’re seeing, as it will give you a significant advantage during the test.
- Google Tag Manager (GTM): Review the fundamentals of GTM, including tags, variables, and trigger concepts. Understanding how these elements work together will help you navigate the platform efficiently during the exam.
- Looker Studio: Practice creating dashboards using Looker Studio. Getting comfortable with creating and modifying dashboards will save you valuable time during the exam.
- Conversion Rate Concepts: Make sure to refresh your understanding of conversion rates, how they are calculated, and the factors that can influence them. Having a solid grasp of this will help during the exam.
This is an opportunity to not only showcase your skills but also to see if you enjoy the kind of work we do at Practical Vision. Please come with an open mind and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any during the process.
We look forward to seeing you in the office and wish you all the best in this phase of the interview!
